3 Hearing Aid Accessories For Even Better Hearing

The very best thing you can do for yourself as a person with hearing loss is to find the perfect hearing aid for you. Hearing aids can transform your life for the better, and make a positive impact on your relationships, your work and your happiness.

But hearing solutions don’t end at the hearing aid. Our hearing needs are unique and dynamic, and sometimes we need a little extra help to make our hearing experience perfect for us. That’s where hearing aid accessories come in. These great additions to your hearing aid can make all the difference in your hearing experience.

If you feel like there’s something missing from your hearing experience even after finding your perfect hearing aid, check out these three great hearing accessories and what they could do for you.

Hearing Aid Bluetooth Wireless Transmitters

Nowadays, we use Bluetooth in so many ways. Bluetooth is a part of how we use our cell phones, our televisions and even our music players. Bluetooth is one of the coolest ways we connect with the devices around us – and that includes hearing aids.

With Bluetooth wireless transmitters, some hearing aids are able to connect to Bluetooth devices directly. That means that the music coming from your iPod, the sound from your television or the voice from your phone transmits directly to your hearing aid. That means better clarity that’s easier to understand than listening directly via your hearing aid.

These are great add-ons for those that are regularly using their Bluetooth-enabled smartphone or music player. Even better, many of these wireless transmitters can connect to an app for iPhones, making the connection even easier.

Rechargeable Batteries and Charging Docks

At the end of the day, many of us are used to plugging in our cell phones and laptops to charge overnight. That means a refreshed battery in the morning and enough energy to get us through our busy days. The same thing can be said for certain kinds of hearing aids that come equipped with rechargeable batteries and charging docks.

Depending on the hearing aid, rechargeable batteries can last up to 12 hours. For many, this kind of control over their rechargeable aids beats out the inconvenience of replacing their aid batteries – and sometimes getting caught off guard when they unexpectedly run out of power!

Hearing Aid Remote Controls

Sometimes we want a bit more control over our aids than we’ve got. Most hearing aid settings are adjusted by hearing experts who customize them to match our needs – but after we leave the office, sometimes the automatic adjustments our aids make don’t quite meet our needs.

In these cases, many hearing aids connect with wireless remotes that allow adjustments to simple settings like volume, hearing environment modes and microphone directions. These small adjustments can make all of the difference of a hearing aid wearer.

These are great for those that require a little more help to understand speech, and are great for conversations in crowded environments like restaurants or conferences.

Of course, it’s always best to make decisions about your hearing needs with the help of a hearing professional. Contact our hearing experts to talk about your specific hearing needs and how to meet them. We’re ready to make your hearing experience the best that it can be!
