It's placed deep in the ear canal by a trained provider and worn continuously for months at a time — through exercise, sleep, and showering — without any daily handling or maintenance. Because it sits so far inside the ear canal, it uses the natural shape of the ear to localize sound, which produces a listening experience that many wearers describe as more natural than conventional hearing aids. How the Lyric Fitting Process Works

The Lyric is not a take-home device — it's placed in the ear canal by a Certified Lyric Fitter during an in-office appointment. The fitting process involves assessing ear canal anatomy to confirm candidacy, selecting the right size, and placing the device. Each device can last for months before needing replacement, at which point the patient returns for a quick swap that typically takes only a few minutes.

Lyric is sold on a subscription basis covering one or two years, which includes all replacement devices and servicing during the subscription period. This model is different from purchasing a conventional hearing aid outright, and it's worth discussing the cost structure with our team to determine whether it makes sense for your situation.
