Donated Hearing Aids | Desert Valley Audiology
It does not take many years in the hearing industry to realize that not all patients can afford the help they need. Hearing aids allow people to hear those things that are essential to an enjoyable life. Phrases such as “I love you”, “I miss you” and “It’s time for dinner” are all important. One of the things that I have always tried to do is make it possible for all people to obtain a hearing aid. I want to eliminate cost from the equation when possible.
Through generous donations of hearing aids from other patients, I am able to repair these hearing aids at a minimal cost. Individuals who cannot afford hearing aids can obtain a donated hearing aid for approximately $100. In some cases, if an individual can only afford half the cost, I will loan the remainder. It is my goal to make sure everyone gets help.
The major hearing aid manufacturers have donated hearing aids to The House Research Institute in California. If someone comes to my office that cannot afford to purchase new hearing aids, I can submit their audiological findings to the Institute and they will consider the patient for a donation. Many patients have benefited from this generous donation program.
I will also accept donations of hearing aids from individuals who are finished with their hearing aids. These hearing aids will be refurbished and provided to individuals who are in need of help but cannot afford the cost. If you have hearing aids that you would like to donate, I will be happy to accept them. You will receive a tax write off for your donation and that is another perk of your donation to this cause.
